The Old Fire Station is situated in the traditional market town of South Molton, and is only a short walk to the town Square. DESCRIPTION
The Old Fire Station is of part stone, brick and timber framed construction with corrugated iron cladding and a corrugated (believed to be asbestos) roof. As the name suggests, the building used to be the town's fire station before it was relocated a short distance away along North Street. More recently it was used for general storage and has now fallen into some disrepair. The property site extends to approximately 1,275 sqft and offers offers considerable potential, whether for general storage/commercial use or for development (stp). Historical planning permission In 1992, the site had outline planning permission for demolishing the existing building and replacing with a 3 bedroom detached house. This permission has now lapsed. The approved plans provided for a hall, cloakroom, kitchen, utility and living/dining room on the ground floor with three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. BUYERS AND AMINISTRATION FEES
